SUNDAY SCHOOL

After a short break following the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, those close to the monastery and all who want to deepen the Word of God, participate at the so-called Sunday school. Basically, it's a meeting with the abbot of the monastery where he debates topics related to the evangelical pericope quoted in the Divine Liturgy or topics related to social or spiritual aspects of life in order to support believers in all respects. The gathering ends with a moment of prayer.

BIBLE AND SPIRITUALITY CLASSES

For over six years now, on Tuesdays and Fridays, biblical exegesis and spirituality courses are organized for those who constantly participate at the monastery's liturgical moments.  Along with the monastic community, we also want the community of believers spiritually attached to Partoș (the spiritual family) be a compassionate community, well catechized and living in truth, in the authentic spirit of our Orthodoxy. During this time, regarding the biblical exegesis, we've covered the following: The Gospel of John and Matthew, the Acts of the Apostles, Genesis, the first, second and third Epistle of John, Epistle to the Romans; for a long period of time we covered the " „Chipul evanghelic al Mântuitorului Hristos”, and on the spirituality section, we went over presentations on the steps of the spiritual life, passions and virtues, the composition of the soul; we also did some interpretations of the Filocalie.
    
Also, once every few weeks during special meetings the main teachings of faith were covered starting from the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed. In times as troubled as the times we live in, it is very important to have communities where the word of God and the teachings of the Church are shared, known and lived by all their members.

THE CATECHESIS OF CHILDREN; THE NEAR THE HEART OF JESUS PROJECT

Every Sunday afternoon at the monastery's Christiana hall, there is catechesis of children, both those from the town of Partos, and those who come from outside village who, with their families, attend the Sunday program of our monastery. Through word and play children are initiated into the knowledge of Scripture and the Church's life. Focusing on them is very important since they are tomorrow's believers, those who will carry the banner of faith in times to come.

 PASTORAȚIA FAMILIILOR ȘI A PERSOANELOR CU VOCAȚII; THE FOR A FAMILY NEAR THE HEART OF GOD PROJECT

Starting with 2016, regular one day small meetings are organized where two or three families attend. Those involved participate at the Divine Liturgy , they pray together, along with the abbot and other guests they debate topics related to family life, its gifts but also its challenges in the world today. The covered themes are those that concern the attending families.

There are also organized special meetings with divorced persons, with those who went through the death of a family member, and people with special vocations, such as theologians - people who are preparing for priesthood, those living alone or those who want to live the monastic life.

Life in Christ is accentuated every time in a specific social context. The life of every man is a special one, has its peculiarities, it's a history itself. We need to support our brothers and sisters through every difficulty, so each one of them can live their spiritual life with confidence, tranquility and joy. The social environment and the particularities of every life are extremely important from both a pastoral and a spiritual standpoint.
